Identify the outsourcing Partner:
Identifying a right partner is most critical aspect of any outsourcing initiative. Any outsourcing engagement is a long-term project by its very nature and hence calls for critical evaluation of partners. While evaluating partners while you can choose multiple parameter, some of the critical parameters for evaluation that must be should include are:
1) Past experience of similar nature of contract ( look for the technical competencies, ability to deliver similar scale project as well of nature like e-commerce, ERP etc)
2) Quality processes ( Not necessarily adherence to SEI CMM model but any chosen model)
3) Financial stability
4) Pool of resources
5) Management commitment
6) Adaptability and flexibility in approach
